Project Description:

Design, supply, installation, supervision and commissioning. This project involves the installation of tanks, pipes, control systems and fire protection to provide dual fuel to the generating plants (gas turbines) Virgin Island Water and Power Authority. The fuel supplier Vitol RGE hired to design, supply, supervise and commission the mechanical and electrical systems of both terminals propane gas (LPG) in each of the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix).

PUMA Energy Bayamón LPG Terminal

Project Description:

On 2013, Puma Energy Caribe, LLC began refurbishing the former CAPECO Bayamón LPG Terminal for Propane and Butane Distribution. RGE was contracted to provide engineering services for pipeline from Puma’s dock to storage tanks at the Terminal and through a new pump manifold to their truck loading facilities and back to the dock. The foundations structural design for all Storage bullet tanks was part of the design scope.

LAESA Power Plant LNG Station

Project Description:

On 2010 LAESA, Ltd. in the Dominican Republic (DR) initiated an LNG conversion to their 32 MW $38 million Wärtsilä Power Generation Plant. The system consist of two cryogenic vertical tanks, day tank, cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, Mercaptan injection system and a control room. MEC was contracted to provided Civil & Structural Design Services. LAESA began using LNG in 2011MEC
